Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes lymphotactin (gene XCL1) in human samples and is validated for ELISA and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 12.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 13 kDa.
XCL1 (lymphotactin) is the main member of the C-class chemokine subfamily, which carries only one of the two conserved disulfide bonds found in other chemokines. Produced mainly by activated CD8+ T cells and NK cells, it signals through XCR1 on cross-presenting dendritic cells, and it also shapes thymic dendritic cell positioning and regulatory T cell development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Lymphotactin fragment (Val22–Gly114), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 60.2% and 57%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes lymphotactin as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highest level in spleen, lower in peripheral leukocytes and very low levels in lung, colon and small intestine. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
