Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes LYR motif-containing protein 4 (gene LYRM4) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
LYRM4 (also called ISD11) is a small mitochondrial protein of the LYR motif family that stabilizes the cysteine desulfurase NFS1. Together with the acyl carrier protein NDUFAB1 it forms part of the core complex that builds [2Fe-2S] clusters on the scaffold ISCU, the first step in mitochondrial iron–sulfur protein biogenesis.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places LYR motif-containing protein 4 in the mitochondrion and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Reduced mRNA levels in Friedreich ataxia patients.
