Product Overview
Clone 21M81 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes max dimerization protein 3 (gene MXD3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 23.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 28 kDa.
MXD3 (MAD3) is a member of the MXD family of bHLH-leucine zipper repressors that pair with MAX. The MXD3-MAX heterodimer binds E-box DNA and antagonizes MYC-driven transcription and cell transformation, making MXD3 a subject of research on the MYC/MAX/MXD network and cell proliferation.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MAD3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places max dimerization protein 3 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
