Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 5 (gene MAP4K5) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 95.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 95 kDa.
MAP4K5 (also called KHS) is a serine/threonine kinase of the germinal-center kinase family. It is thought to respond to environmental stress and to act upstream in the JNK signaling pathway, but its roles are less characterized than those of related MAP4Ks.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human HeLa cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.

Recombinant human MAP4K5 fragment (Met1–Gln733), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 5 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed in all tissues examined, with high levels in the ovary, testis and prostate. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
