Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes macrophage receptor MARCO in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
MARCO is a class A scavenger receptor expressed on macrophages, notably in the lung, spleen and lymph nodes. It recognizes Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as unopsonized particles such as inhaled dust, helping macrophages clear them from tissues. It is studied in innate immunity, lung host defense and particle-induced inflammation.

Immunogen
Recombinant human MARCO fragment (Met1–Arg489), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 66.5%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places macrophage receptor MARCO in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in alveolar macrophages (at protein level).
