Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes MARVEL domain-containing protein 2 (gene MARVELD2) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Tricellulin (MARVELD2) is a tight junction membrane protein concentrated where three epithelial cells meet. It helps seal these tricellular contacts and so maintains the epithelial barrier. In the inner ear, it is needed to keep the endolymph and perilymph apart and for hair cell survival, and loss of function is linked to hereditary hearing loss.
