Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets serine/threonine-protein kinase greatwall (gene MASTL) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
Greatwall kinase (MASTL) is a serine/threonine kinase that controls entry into and progression through mitosis. It phosphorylates the small proteins ENSA and ARPP19, which then inhibit the PP2A-B55 phosphatase, so that mitotic phosphorylations made by CDK1 are maintained. MASTL is studied in cell-cycle control, chromosome segregation and cancer cell proliferation.

Immunogen
Recombinant human MASTL fragment (Glu34–Leu872), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 75.1%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase greatwall in the nucleus and cleavage furrow.
