Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects transcription factor ATOH1 in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 38.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
Atonal homolog 1 (ATOH1, also called MATH1) is a bHLH transcription factor that works with E proteins to activate E-box target genes. It is required for the formation of inner ear hair cells, cerebellar granule neurons, intestinal secretory cells and Merkel cells.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HL-60 cells, rat PC-12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places transcription factor ATOH1 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
