Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets MBT domain-containing protein 1 (gene MBTD1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
MBTD1 is a chromatin reader that binds mono- and dimethylated histone H4 lysine 20 (H4K20me1/2) through its MBT domains. As part of the NuA4/TIP60 histone acetyltransferase complex, it helps recruit the complex to DNA double-strand breaks, where it competes with 53BP1 and favors repair by homologous recombination. It is studied in chromatin biology and DNA repair.
