Product Overview
Clone 24M40 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes DNA replication licensing factor MCM4 in human and mouse samples and is validated for flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 96.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 97 kDa.
MCM4 is a subunit of the MCM2-7 complex, the core of the replicative helicase that unwinds DNA at replication forks. The complex is loaded at origins before S phase and activated to start DNA synthesis. MCM4 is studied in DNA replication licensing, genome stability and cell proliferation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Molt-4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue, human spleen tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
