Product Overview
Clone ADID-13 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes DNA replication licensing factor MCM5 in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 82.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 82 kDa.
MCM5 is a subunit of the MCM2-7 replicative helicase, which is loaded onto replication origins in G1 and unwinds DNA once replication begins. Like the other MCM proteins, it is found in cycling cells and lost in quiescent cells, so it is studied in DNA replication control and used as a proliferation marker in tissues and tumors.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MCM5 MCM5.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places DNA replication licensing factor MCM5 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
