Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects NADP-dependent malic enzyme, mitochondrial (gene ME3) in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
ME3 is the mitochondrial NADP-dependent malic enzyme, which converts malate to pyruvate and CO2 while producing NADPH inside mitochondria. It contributes to the mitochondrial NADPH supply that supports biosynthesis and antioxidant defense, and it is studied in energy and redox metabolism.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.25 µg/mL (Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant human ME3 fragment (Arg17–Asp585), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 95.8%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, monkey, mouse and rat. UniProt places NADP-dependent malic enzyme, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion matrix. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed predominantly in organs with a low-division rate.
