Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 12 (gene MED12) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 243.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 260 kDa.
MED12 is a subunit of the kinase module of the Mediator complex, together with CDK8 or CDK19, cyclin C and MED13. This module modulates Mediator′s ability to relay signals from transcription factors to RNA polymerase II. MED12 is frequently mutated in uterine fibroids and some other tumors and is linked to X-linked intellectual disability syndromes.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HeLa cells, human MCF-7 cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
