Product Overview
Clone 18M61 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes homeobox protein Meis2 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 51.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 52 kDa.
MEIS2 is a TALE-class homeodomain transcription factor closely related to MEIS1. It forms complexes with PBX and HOX proteins to regulate gene expression during development, including in the heart, brain, lens and craniofacial structures. MEIS2 variants are linked to cleft palate and congenital heart defects, and it is studied in developmental gene regulation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MEIS2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places homeobox protein Meis2 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in various tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
