Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 2 (gene MAP2K2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot.
MEK2 (MAP2K2) is a dual-specificity kinase closely related to MEK1. Activated by RAF kinases, it phosphorylates a threonine and a tyrosine in the activation loop of ERK1 and ERK2 to switch on the ERK pathway, and it is studied in growth factor signaling, RASopathies and cancer.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human MEK2. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 2 in the cytoplasm and membrane.
