Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects melanotransferrin (gene MELTF) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ELISA.
Melanotransferrin (MELTF, also called p97 or CD228) is a transferrin-family protein attached to the cell surface by a GPI anchor. It binds a single iron atom and has been implicated in cellular iron uptake. It was first identified as a melanoma-associated antigen and is studied in iron biology and tumor cell biology.
