Product Overview
Clone AEIO-13 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes mesothelin (gene MSLN) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 69.0 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 40, 69 kDa.
Mesothelin (MSLN) is a GPI-anchored glycoprotein normally found on mesothelial cells that line the pleura, peritoneum and pericardium. It is made as a precursor that is cut into membrane-bound mesothelin and a secreted fragment called megakaryocyte-potentiating factor, and it is widely studied because it is highly expressed in mesothelioma and in pancreatic and ovarian cancers.
