Product Overview
Clone 25M78 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A (gene MICA) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 42.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42–70 kDa.
MICA is a stress-induced, MHC class I-like membrane protein that does not present antigen. Infection, DNA damage and transformation increase its surface expression, where it binds the activating receptor NKG2D on natural killer cells, γδ T cells and CD8+ T cells, so it is widely studied in tumor immune surveillance and innate immunity.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): A431 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MICA.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed with the exception of the central nervous system where it is absent. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
