Product Overview
Clone 30M15 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 3 (gene MAPKAPK3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 43.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 43 kDa.
MK3 (MAPKAPK3) is a serine/threonine kinase closely related to MK2 and activated by p38 and other stress-responsive MAP kinases. It shares many substrates with MK2, including the small heat shock protein HSP27, and contributes to stress responses, cytokine production and the control of gene expression. Researchers often study it alongside MK2 when dissecting p38 pathway outputs.
