Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes monocyte to macrophage differentiation factor (gene MMD) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Monocyte to macrophage differentiation factor (MMD) is a membrane protein of the PAQR family whose expression rises as monocytes mature into macrophages. It is associated with lysosomal membranes, and its precise function has not been fully characterized.

| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.25 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Immunogen
Recombinant human MMD fragment (Arg20–Ala182), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 100%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places monocyte to macrophage differentiation factor in the late endosome membrane and lysosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Exhibits relatively ubiquitous expression with preferential expression in mature (in vitro differentiated) macrophages.
