Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ataxin 7 (gene Atxn7) in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot.
Ataxin-7 (Atxn7), studied here in mouse, is a subunit of the SAGA transcriptional coactivator complex, where it helps anchor the deubiquitinase module that removes ubiquitin from histone H2B. Polyglutamine expansion in the human protein causes spinocerebellar ataxia type 7, and mouse models are used to study the resulting retinal and cerebellar degeneration.
