Product Overview

This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets U3 small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein protein MPP10 (gene MPHOSPH10) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 78.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.

MPP10 (MPHOSPH10) is a component of the U3 small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein and the small subunit processome in the nucleolus. It is needed for early cleavages of the pre-ribosomal RNA that yield 18S rRNA, and it is studied in ribosome biogenesis.

Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.

Immunogen

Recombinant human MPHOSPH10 fragment (Leu15–Ala661), expressed in E. coli.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places U3 small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein protein MPP10 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Handle with standard laboratory precautions.
Q.Which applications is this antibody validated for, and at what dilution?
A.Validated applications with suggested starting dilutions: Western blot 0.1–0.25 µg/mL (Human); Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 5 µg/mL (Human); Flow cytometry (fixed cells) 1–3 µg/1×10⁶ cells (Human); ELISA 0.1–0.5 µg/mL. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory.
Q.Which species does this antibody react with?
A.Validated reactivity: Human. Other species are not listed by the supplier.
Q.What band size should be expected in Western blot?
A.Reported by the supplier: calculated molecular weight 78.9 kDa; observed band at about 120 kDa. A difference from the calculated size is common and can reflect post-translational modification, processing or isoform differences.
Q.What immunogen was used to raise this antibody?
A.Recombinant human MPHOSPH10 fragment (Leu15–Ala661), expressed in E. coli.
Q.How should this antibody be stored?
A.As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
