Product Overview
Clone 28M87 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes 55 kDa erythrocyte membrane protein (gene MPP1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 52.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
MPP1 (p55) is a palmitoylated membrane protein of the MAGUK family, first identified in red blood cells, where it links the membrane skeleton to the plasma membrane. It also regulates neutrophil polarity, and it is studied in membrane organization and cell polarity.
