Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1 (gene ABCC1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 171.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 220 kDa.
Multidrug resistance-associated protein 1 (ABCC1, MRP1) is an ATP-powered pump that exports organic anions conjugated to glutathione, glucuronate or sulfate out of cells. It also carries glutathione and the inflammatory mediator leukotriene C4, and its overexpression contributes to drug resistance in cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells, A549 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human MRP1. It differs from the mouse sequence at five residues and from the rat sequence at four residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1 in the cell membrane and basolateral cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Lung, testis and peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
