Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MSL2 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 62.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 63 kDa.
MSL2 is a subunit of the MSL (male-specific lethal) complex, which carries out most histone H4 lysine 16 acetylation (H4K16ac) through the acetyltransferase KAT8 (MOF). MSL2 also has E3 ubiquitin ligase activity toward histone H2B, and the complex is studied in chromatin regulation and gene dosage control.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HL-60 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.

Recombinant human MSL2 fragment (Met1–Cys577), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MSL2 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
