Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes MSL complex subunit 3 (gene MSL3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
MSL3 is a subunit of the MSL (male-specific lethal) complex, which makes most histone H4 lysine 16 acetylation (H4K16ac) through the acetyltransferase KAT8 (MOF). Its chromodomain helps target the complex to chromatin, and mutations in MSL3 cause a neurodevelopmental disorder.

Immunogen
Recombinant human SLC7A7 fragment (Met1–Asp498), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 90.8% and 91.6%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places MSL complex subunit 3 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in many tissues including liver, pancreas, heart, lung, kidney, skeletal muscle, brain, and placenta, with highest expression in skeletal muscle and heart.
