Product Overview
Clone 29S79 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes serine/threonine-protein kinase 26 (gene STK26) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 46.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
MST4 (STK26) is a germinal center kinase III family serine/threonine kinase that belongs to STRIPAK complexes, which coordinate Hippo, MAPK and cytoskeletal signaling. MST4 supports cell growth, modulates apoptosis, helps control Golgi orientation during polarized migration and phosphorylates the autophagy protease ATG4B to increase autophagic flux.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|---|
| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells, human HepG2 cells, rat thymus tissue, rat liver tissue, mouse thymus tissue, mouse liver tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1: 500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MST4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase 26 in the cytoplasm and Golgi apparatus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
