| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide derived from human MTA2 The p53 tumor suppressor gene integrates numerous signals that control cell life and death. There are several proteins that are involved in the p53 pathway, including Chk2, p53R2, p53AIP1, Noxa, PIDD, and MTA2. The transcriptional activity of p53 is modulated by protein stability and acetylation. |

Product Overview
Clone ACOE-13 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes metastasis-associated protein MTA2 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 75.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
MTA2 (metastasis-associated protein 2) is a member of the MTA family of transcriptional coregulators and a component of the NuRD complex, which combines ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling with histone deacetylation. Through NuRD it helps control gene silencing and chromatin structure, making it a subject of research in epigenetics and cancer biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human RT4 cells, human HEL cells, human MCF-7 cells, human K562 cells, human A431 cells, human PC-3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human cervical cancer tissue, human stomach cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MTA2 The p53 tumor suppressor gene integrates numerous signals that control cell life and death.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places metastasis-associated protein MTA2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
