Product Overview
Clone 32M82 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes serine/threonine-protein kinase mTOR in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 288.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 260 kDa.
mTOR is a serine/threonine kinase that forms two complexes, mTORC1 and mTORC2, and serves as a central integrator of nutrient, growth factor and energy signals. mTORC1 drives protein, lipid and nucleotide synthesis through targets such as S6K and 4E-BP1 and suppresses autophagy. mTOR signaling is studied across cell growth, metabolism, aging, immunity and cancer.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human mTOR.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase mTOR in the lysosome membrane, endoplasmic reticulum membrane and Golgi apparatus membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in numerous tissues, with highest levels in testis.
