Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets microtubule-associated tumor suppressor 1 (gene MTUS1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 141.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 170 kDa.
MTUS1, also known as ATIP, is a microtubule-associated protein that interacts with the angiotensin II type 2 receptor (AGTR2). Together with AGTR2 it dampens ERK activation and cell proliferation. It is regarded as a candidate tumor suppressor and is studied in cell growth control and cancer biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A549 cells, human HepG2 cells, human HEK293 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:100, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.

Recombinant human MTUS1 fragment (Asp1038–Asn1236), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places microtubule-associated tumor suppressor 1 in the mitochondrion, Golgi apparatus, cell membrane and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
