Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets mucin-3B (gene MUC3B) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 131.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 345 kDa.
Mucin-3B (MUC3B) is a membrane-associated mucin of the intestinal epithelium, closely related to MUC3A. It contributes to the mucus layer that lubricates and protects the mucosal surface from particles and microbes, and is studied in intestinal barrier biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SW620 cells, human COL320 cells, human Caco-2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places mucin-3B in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Fetal and adult small intestine and fetal and adult colon. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
