Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects interferon-induced GTP-binding protein Mx1 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
MxA (MX1) is an interferon-induced dynamin-like GTPase with broad antiviral activity. It recognizes viral nucleocapsids and blocks the replication of influenza A and many other RNA viruses, and some DNA viruses. Because its expression depends on type I and III interferon signaling, MxA is also widely used as a marker of interferon activity.
