Description
Anti-Myc Affinity Gel is prepared by conjugating high quality murine IgG1 monoclonal antibody with Sepharose 4B gel. This product has a high Myc label fusion protein loading capacity (at least 0.9 mg protein/mL gel) and less non-specific binding of miscellaneous proteins. It can be used for immunoprecipitation (IP) and purification of fusion proteins with Myc labels.
Features
- Specific—highly specific monoclonal antibody
- High yield and high purity
- Versatile—It can be used for protein purification or COIP
- Convenient—reagents and peptides to elute are available separately
Applications
- Immunoprecipitation (IP)
- Purification of fusion proteins with Myc labels.

Storage
The unopened products should be stably stored at -25℃ ~ -15℃ for 1 year. Do not freeze in solution without glycerin!
The antibody is clone 9E10, isotype Mouse IgG1, purified by Protein A. Antibody concentration: 8.5 g antibody/L gel. Clone 9E10 is the gold-standard anti-Myc monoclonal antibody recognizing the human c-Myc epitope EQKLISEEDL. It does not cross-react with the endogenous mouse or human c-Myc protein at typical loading concentrations.
Compatible with N-terminal, C-terminal, or internal Myc (EQKLISEEDL) tags. Tandem Myc-tagged proteins (2×Myc) bind with higher efficiency. The antibody does not reliably capture other epitope tags. Note: this product captures tagged proteins via the Myc epitope, not endogenous c-Myc oncoprotein.
The gel provides a binding capacity of ≥0.9 mg Myc-tagged fusion protein per mL of gel — lower than the HA (≥1.5 mg/mL) and His (≥1.1 mg/mL) versions. This should be considered when designing pull-down experiments with high-abundance Myc-tagged targets; scale bead volume accordingly.
Preferred: Myc peptide elution (EQKLISEEDL at 1 mg/mL) for native, functional protein recovery. Alternative: low-pH glycine (pH 2.5–3.0) for non-peptide elution; neutralize immediately. SDS sample buffer for gel analysis only.
Unopened: store at −25°C to −15°C for 1 year. Do not freeze without glycerol-containing buffer. After opening, store at 2–8°C. Storage buffer: 10 mM Na₃PO₄, 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, pH 7.4, 0.02% sodium azide.
