Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects myeloid differentiation primary response protein MyD88 in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 33.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 34 kDa.
MyD88 is the adaptor that links Toll-like receptors and IL-1 family receptors to downstream kinases in innate immunity. Through IRAK1, IRAK2 and TRAF6 it drives NF-κB activation and the release of inflammatory cytokines, so it is a common readout in studies of infection, sterile inflammation and TLR-targeted drugs.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat liver tissue, rat lung tissue, rat PC-12 cells, rat RH35 cells, mouse liver tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells, mouse ANA-1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse MyD88 fragment (Ser12–Asp263), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places myeloid differentiation primary response protein MyD88 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Detected in bone marrow. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
