Product Overview
Clone 20M81 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes myoblast determination protein 1 (gene MYOD1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 34.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
MyoD (MYOD1) is a bHLH transcription factor and master regulator of skeletal muscle identity. Together with Myf5 and myogenin it activates muscle-specific genes and can convert fibroblasts into myoblasts. It is a standard marker of activated satellite cells and committed myoblasts in myogenesis and muscle regeneration studies.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human PC-3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
