Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects NGFI-A-binding protein 1 (gene NAB1) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 54.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 56 kDa.
NAB1 (NGFI-A-binding protein 1) is a transcriptional corepressor that binds the immediate-early zinc finger transcription factors EGR1 and EGR2 and dampens their activity on target genes. It is studied in feedback control of growth factor-induced transcription.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human HeLa cells, human U-87MG cells, human 293T cells, rat RH35 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human NAB1 fragment (Ala120–Lys480), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places NGFI-A-binding protein 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform Short is found in myeloid leukemia cell line KG-1. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
