Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets nucleosome assembly protein 1-like 5 (gene NAP1L5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 19.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 19 kDa.
NAP1L5 is an imprinted, intronless member of the nucleosome assembly protein family, expressed mainly in the brain. Its function has not been fully characterized.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human HEL cells, rat C6 cells, mouse EL-4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells.

Synthetic peptide from the middle region of human NAP1L5. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nucleosome assembly protein 1-like 5 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Predominantly expressed in brain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
