Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets nicotinate phosphoribosyltransferase (gene NAPRT) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 57.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.
Nicotinate phosphoribosyltransferase (NAPRT) converts nicotinic acid to nicotinic acid mononucleotide, the first step of the Preiss-Handler pathway of NAD+ synthesis. It provides an alternative route to NAD+ alongside the NAMPT salvage pathway and is studied in NAD+ metabolism and cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, rat liver tissue, rat small intestine tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse small intestine tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human NAPRT fragment (Ala69–Gln480), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nicotinate phosphoribosyltransferase in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
