Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects next to BRCA1 gene 1 protein (gene NBR1) in human and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 107.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 140 kDa.
NBR1 is a selective autophagy receptor that binds ubiquitinated cargo through its UBA domain and LC3/GABARAP proteins on autophagosomes. Working with p62/SQSTM1, it helps clear protein aggregates, peroxisomes and other cargo, and it is studied in autophagy, proteostasis and innate immunity.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human HepG2 cells, human K562 cells, monkey COS-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human NBR1 fragment (Met1–His665), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and monkey. UniProt places next to BRCA1 gene 1 protein in the cytoplasm, cytoplasmic vesicle and lysosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
