Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects condensin complex subunit 2 (gene NCAPH) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 82.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100 kDa.
NCAPH (barren homolog, CAP-H) is the kleisin subunit of condensin I, bridging the SMC2 and SMC4 ATPases to form the ring-shaped complex. Condensin I compacts chromatin into mitotic chromosomes, and NCAPH is studied in mitosis and cell proliferation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human K562 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.

Recombinant human NCAPH fragment (Arg91–Lys721), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places condensin complex subunit 2 in the nucleus, cytoplasm and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed at low level. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
