Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes BOS complex subunit NCLN in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Nicalin (NCLN) is an endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein that belongs to the multi-pass translocon, a machinery that works alongside the SEC61 channel. After SEC61 inserts the first transmembrane segments of a multi-pass protein, this complex blocks the SEC61 lateral gate and helps later segments enter the lipid bilayer, making NCLN relevant to membrane protein biogenesis.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places BOS complex subunit NCLN in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in pancreas and skeletal muscle and, at lower levels, in heart.
