Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes NADH dehydrogenase (gene NDUFB7) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 16.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 19 kDa.
NDUFB7 is an accessory subunit of mitochondrial complex I (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase), the large enzyme of the inner mitochondrial membrane that passes electrons from NADH to ubiquinone and starts the respiratory chain. Accessory subunits are not thought to take part in catalysis but help build and stabilize the complex, and they are used as markers in studies of mitochondrial function and oxidative phosphorylation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells, human HL-60 cells, human PC-3 cells, human 293T cells, rat ovary tissue, rat brain tissue, mouse ovary tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue, human liver cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human breast cancer tissue.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human NDUFB7 fragment (Met1–Arg98), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places NADH dehydrogenase in the mitochondrion inner membrane and mitochondrion intermembrane space. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
