Product Overview
Clone 28N50 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes NADH dehydrogenase (gene NDUFB9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 21.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
NDUFB9 is an accessory subunit of mitochondrial complex I (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase), the large enzyme of the inner mitochondrial membrane that passes electrons from NADH to ubiquinone and starts the respiratory chain. Accessory subunits are not thought to take part in catalysis but help build and stabilize the complex, and they are used as markers in studies of mitochondrial function and oxidative phosphorylation.
