Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets N-terminal EF-hand calcium-binding protein 3 (gene NECAB3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 44.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
NECAB3 is an EF-hand calcium-binding protein of the NECAB family found mainly in the brain. It interacts with the APP adaptors APBA2 and APBA3 and can influence processing of the amyloid precursor protein, and it may also promote HIF-1 activity and glycolysis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U251 cells.

Recombinant human NECAB3 fragment (Asp97–Asp339), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places N-terminal EF-hand calcium-binding protein 3 in the Golgi apparatus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Strongly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle, moderately in brain and pancreas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
