Product Overview
Clone BGO-14 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes neuropilin-1 (gene NRP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 103.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.
Neuropilin-1 (NRP1) is a transmembrane co-receptor for class 3 semaphorins and for VEGF-A isoforms such as VEGF165. It shapes axon guidance, blood vessel formation and heart development, and it is expressed on regulatory T cells. NRP1 also binds C-end rule peptide motifs and is studied in angiogenesis, neural development, immunity and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human PC-3 cells, human A549 cells, human U251 cells, rat heart tissue, rat brain tissue, mouse heart tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human liver cancer tissue, human stomach cancer tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human neuropilin 1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): The expression of isoforms 1 and 2 does not seem to overlap. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
