Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes neurotrophin-3 (gene NTF3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 29.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 47 kDa.
Neurotrophin-3 (NT-3, NTF3) is a secreted growth factor of the neurotrophin family that acts mainly through the TrkC receptor. It supports the survival and development of sensory neurons, including proprioceptive and visceral populations, and is studied in nervous system development, nerve injury and synaptic plasticity.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 0.5–1 µg/mL (Rat, Human, Mouse) |
|---|---|
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, MCF-7 cells, HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the middle region of human neurotrophin 3. The peptide sequence is conserved in rat and mouse.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes neurotrophin-3 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Brain and peripheral tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
