Product Overview
Clone 18N03 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p100 subunit (gene NFKB2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 96.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 110 kDa.
NFKB2 encodes p100, a precursor that is processed to the p52 subunit of NF-κB. Processing of p100 to p52 is the hallmark of the non-canonical NF-κB pathway, which is triggered by receptors such as BAFF-R, CD40 and LTβR and is important for lymphoid organ development and B-cell maturation. Antibodies that detect both forms help follow this processing step.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human A549 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human U251 cells, rat heart tissue, rat PC-12 cells, mouse heart tissue, mouse NIH/3T3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human NFkB p100 / p52.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p100 subunit in the nucleus and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
