Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes NF-kappa-B inhibitor zeta (gene NFKBIZ) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 78.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
IκBζ (NFKBIZ) is an atypical nuclear member of the IκB family that is induced by IL-1 and Toll-like receptor signaling. Rather than holding NF-κB in the cytoplasm, it acts in the nucleus to either inhibit or promote transcription of selected NF-κB targets such as LCN2 and IL-6.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human RT4 cells, human Caco-2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SIHA cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEL cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human NFKBIZ fragment (Gln247–His577), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places NF-kappa-B inhibitor zeta in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes and lung, at moderate levels in liver, placenta, and at low levels in spleen, kidney, skeletal muscle and heart. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
