Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets cysteine desulfurase (gene NFS1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA.
NFS1 is the mitochondrial cysteine desulfurase that releases sulfur from cysteine for iron-sulfur cluster assembly. Working with ISD11 (LYRM4) and the acyl carrier protein NDUFAB1, it passes sulfur to the scaffold ISCU, providing the starting point for Fe-S clusters used by respiratory complexes and many other enzymes.
