Product Overview
Clone 25N54 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes nuclear transcription factor Y subunit alpha (gene NFYA) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 36.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
NF-YA is the DNA-binding subunit of NF-Y, a heterotrimeric transcription factor that also contains NF-YB and NF-YC. NF-Y recognizes CCAAT boxes found in many promoters, including cell cycle genes, and can activate or repress transcription depending on its partners.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human HepG2 cells, human RT4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1: 500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human NFYA.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nuclear transcription factor Y subunit alpha in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
